  Weekly Letter to Mission President - 31 Oct 2018: Hey president! Me and Elder Hodson were so happy to serve together here in surin, we had a very good time and we got work done and we were able to see success, im so excited for Elder Hodson, he will do so well with Elder Harding. Im excited to go to my next area. This week we had a rewarding sunday, there was like 6 LAs and we had some really cool people show up. Talking to people this week was fun. 10 people everyday? I think we got pretty close to everyday! Keep being a good president  President Hammond: You have truly blessed the people of Surin, and I know you can make a big difference in Chiang Rai!

  Hey guys this week has been a crazy wad of just inviting and trying to get ahold of people and preparing sister แมะ (mea) for her baptismal date on the 4th, which Im really excited about. For p day this week we went out and saw elephants. The elephants were shooting hoops it was way cool! We met with the branch president this last sunday and he let us know his goals for preparing the branch for the temple here. So were trying to make sure everyone has a temple recommend. A bunch of our investigators are starting to drop off so we have been inviting for a large part of our days lately trying to get more people to teach. But our investigator sister แมะ is getting baptized the week after transfers, im so grateful for the opportunity to be taught so much in Surin. I hope I have had a good impact on these people. Nothing super crazy this week, just wanted to tell you how fine and dandy this boy is. This week we had a great time at zone conference and learned a great deal about how to work with members and how to create a lasting effect on the areas that we serve, through member work. It was really helpful for me, because sometimes as a missionary if you dont have a baptism than we aren't doing our job. We need to baptize converted people. I really am so grateful for my mission president. I love being around him. Also we watch four hours of thai conference on sunday. I had a headache after. This was a good conference though. Anyways just working, sister nui is STILL waiting for an answer even though shes pretty much a member already. Mea is doing well and progressing towards baptism.   So we have been doing great stuff here in Surin time is going super fast we are just working on trying to get people to church in our thirty person branch. Sundays are fun. Haha, I've been getting really good at giving gospel topics lessons. Anyways we are still working with somquan, nui and mea an old gramma made it to church. Anyways we are are out here healthy and happy. Hodson got in a bike accident. He's OK though. I just am so amazed by the people God has prepared. Saturday last week there was a guy who wanted a book of Mormon named Guang. When we gave it to him we gave him a restoration lesson and he really wants to know the truth of the book of Mormon and God.
