WHAAAAAAT
You guys I literally have thirty minutes left on this internet cafe timer and I am going to try to put everything in it... well as much as I can I don't think that I could write all of it if I tried...
Well this has been the craziest thing that I have ever done there are things that i literally have seen and just been like flabbergasted at, while everyone around me thinks that its just downright normal. So the flight here killed me, it was actually twenty three hours if I remember correctly... yeah so I have been a little lagged from the jets of thailand for the past little while. I got here and we walked out of the airport and it was raining buckets!!!! Apparently its rainy season, witch means that it rains a lot and when it does its like boatloads. Then the next second its blazing hot. But yeah so we go to the mission home and you guys this place is very humid and its crazy. We hung out at the mission home and President Johnson is a boss. While we were there we got to go around and invite for a while in the bus station and at this park. The park is so beautiful and we look over at the ponds and there is just like no big deal these massive monitor lizards swimming around and walking around the park, like WHAT I freaked out and everyone just walked past and was like yeah this happens all the time. Then we got to eat the food also, its GOOD guys, spicy but that just makes it all the better right. I think that it kinda makes it exciting when you eat.
Then we met our trainers the next day. My trainer is elder Anderson. This guy is fire. He knows the language way well. Also I don't speak Thai, did I mention? But yeah everyone is way helpful, I am just thinking about how awesome it will be when I can understand. Ill work my butt off regardless but yeah.
Also these people are the most loving and happy and jovial people I have met. There was this khon thai (Thai person) who sat next to me at church and I reached for my scriptures and before I could he had reached in my back grabbed my scriptures and handed them to me. Without me even looking at him. I was like, thanks and he was like you welcome... haha they're great. This old guy Paa chang who loves to talk to me and loves to make fun of me hes the cutest old dude. The members are fire we hung out with them alot. Oh yeah I'm staying in this city called Gang Peng Pet. Where everyone is like five feet tall and there is no white people. So yeah I stand out a little. It is like five hours out of Bangkok so I've taken a train there, then to Chiang mai (witch is five hours also for district conference) then back. Little Traveled out right now.
There are dogs everywhere and cats there are just dogs in the street and they all just chill because its illegal to kill dogs and they just breed and sit around. They don't even move when your driving because they just think they're the bomb. I saw this one dog, and at first I saw it from the back, it was so fat I thought it was a pig! then I saw its face and I was like, Only in Thailand.
Also There are geckos everywhere there like bugs but they're so cool. We have takes tuk tuk's around (motorcycle transportation thingies) until I got a bike like literally twenty two hours ago. Also we taught this guy who has a baptismal date and he is way old and poor his name is Paa Thoi, and he just loves the scriptures and talks and stuff and he has had a lot of alcohol problems so the atonement is a big thing for him. Halfway through the lesson my trainer bumps me and says give your testimony on the atonement. So I gave it and I think he understood so that's a great start? At least it is one. Yeah! anyways the people are peculiar and happy and love live and yeah I already love the heck out of em. Even though they speak like five thousand miles per hour. I know all the individual words like mostly but putting them into sentences is hard.
Anyways I love you guys so much!!!!!
