Wednesday we went to Thang Moo's grandparents house again were she lives. We did some service. It was really fun the grandpa had us water all the Lime trees he had witch was a lot. His name is Banjuud. Sorry looks weird in Romanized writing. But yeah we used this compost water that he said took two months to make. It smelled like baby poop, oh goodness it was gross. Then they fed us and gave us a boatload of limes. We gon Baptize them! Yeah!
It has been exactly a year since the king died here and this is the biggest deal ever like they loved their king so much. All the government workers had to wear black for the whole year. It was called the year of mourning. They cremated the king on Thursday, and everyone had to wear black so I bought a black tie and stuff, we had to stay indoors all day, so we planned, and studied. Sad day, it was weird.
Saturday we went inviting a bunch in the day. We invited a lot this week and Its a good time. Then we studied and helped with the Halloween party and I painted a sign and it was lit. It was so fun. We played games and the branch president told his conversion story and I didn't understand a ton so it was still the best time.
Sunday, most of the younger kids slept in so our church attendance dropped like ten people which is like half our branch SO! I then promptly gave a talk at church. In Thai. It was for some reason not the scariest thing in the world even though they probably had a tough time understanding me. It also helped that there was like nine people in the audience. Then we went home and I started making fries. Then the stove went super wonky and started smoking so much and so I tried to put more fries in it and it just made it worse. So then we opened all the doors and our house smells like burnt fries now.
Sorry this is so long, but the one single spiritual thing I want you to take away from this email is everything that this gospel has to offer, All comes down to love.
Our love for god, gods love for us, He does it all for us and all you have to do is realize it and you will feel it. Elder Uchdorf in conference said that if you follow this gospel "your life WILL be better". That is so true and I testify of that.
Cant tell you enough how much you all mean to me. LOVE YOU!!!!!

Email from mom: Are you on by chance?I need some help. So I was asked to speak in two weeks in sacrement meeting with other missionary moms on Gratitude. They want me to report on you and how gratitude relates to your mission. Do you have any gratitude stories? Experiences? thoughts? We have two weeks to do this so if you don't have time this week, next week would be great. Thank you! Life is good, We pray for you everyday.
Love you, MOM
Response from Jaren: sorry only got an hour, but First of all I don't know what I did to deserve to serve here, its awesome. But the stories just all blend together mom, What this all comes down to is just love. Gods love for us, and how much he loves everyone no matter what.
Weekly Letter to Mission President - 30 Oct 2017: Hello President! Gempeng Phet is treating us well. We had a little bit of an issue yesterday because only twelve people showed up to church. But that might have been because of the halloween party the night before. There wasn't any young kids there. They all slept in I think. But the halloween party was great we had two potentials there and they had fun we think. My Thai is slowly progressing, I think I have hit a point where I can see how far I have come so that makes me happy. The best is inviting though I enjoy that alot. Anyways its been great!
