This Week...

This week... has been so good! This week has been a lot of visiting teaching because after elder Evans came for zone conference he told us that our primary source of investigators needed to be more from referrals now, and retaining less actives. So we visited them a lot this week. Our branch has a 33 percent activity rate. Which is really good for Thailand actually. So we pumping up what we already have. Yeah!
Monday night last week we had FHE and one of our Melchezideck Priesthood holders came back from Bangkok which pumps our branch up a lot. Tuesday we planned, We travel a ton so its hard to get the most out of every week. But, Its great because I get lots of time to study words. What I do for language study is listening to everyone speak and then I write down words I don't know then I put it in flashcards. I can see how its starting to help. English class was fun. I taught the whole two hours by myself... haha I went very much by the book and it was really scary but I did it! I don't know how much they got out of it but yeah. Then we went to Phitzanulok (3 hour bus ride there) Wednesday which was good. We talked about making conversation before we ask them if they want to meet with us later or if they are interested in the gospel. Then we went to a referral of this cute old lady. it was her son and she wanted him to stop smoking. He kinda blew us off but was a nice guy. Thursday we went and visited Bunrood who is a former investigator that we picked up again. He really seems like he wants to know more about Christ and to see where it leads him... he's fantastic. He has lots of faith. Friday we helped Paa Banjuud cut down bamboo again! yay! then they fed us and we started talking about religion and gave Somsamon (one of our daters) the Law of Chastity and Word of Wisdom lessons. She is amazing. She is very old and weak is the only problem but she don't care, She comes to church every week and is progressing so well! We just need her to be healthy enough to be baptized. She is very happy and always laughs. Then Banjuud was listening in on the lessons and he started asking golden questions like "why are there so many sects of Christianity?" So we talked to him about it and gave him a Book of Mormon. He says he will study. It really helped that we served him first because his heart was softened enough to listen.
Sunday was so good. Sacrament meeting we had 24 people! Very good this week. I understood a lot of the second hour because it was on the Gospel of Jesus Christ which is the best. Then after church we visited members for like four hours and then we had dinner at the church with the members. Hot dogs and hamburgers and fries and we all helped make it. It was really fun. Overall just want to leave all of you with a quick scripture. 3 Nephi 22:10 It tells us that Heavenly Father is a kind god, it says that the world may change and mountains may shift but gods kindness will not.
I love you all so much and hope your Thanksgiving is amazing! Be grateful for family! Thats one thing I've learned to appreciate more here. You never know how amazing they are until your separated from them somehow.

Weekly Letter to Mission President - 20 Nov 2017: Hey president! Hey this week was really great! we have two daters one of them is sister may and one is somsomon they are great. Im really excited for Somsomon she has a lot of faith. This area is going pretty well we brought the sacrament attendance up this week to 24 so that was good and the members are really starting go get fired up and doing home teaching and extra stuff for the branch. I think that Elder Evans Advice was so applicable her in KPP. I am doing great I have come to know the importance of faith in Christ in these past couple weeks and what that really means instead of just saying it I have actually had to do it. What he did can overcome anything fears, doubts, and guilt. Anything. Elder English
