Thailand! :)

Hello! How are you! I'm fine, and you!?

The three things that every Thai person knows how to say in English. And you have to say it with the same tones or they don't understand. Haha Well this week we visited LA's and we had a ton of fun Inviting here. Our area is like bigger than we can bike in a day so we find new crazy things places and people everyday, I am in heaven. I love exploring and talking to these crazy people who are often super drunk or they are just crazy. Almost gets annoying how many people are addicted to Alcohol here. Its almost a daily routine seeing these people. I have never biked more in my entire life before this point I think we bike about ten miles plus a day. Super great but i'm tired all the time. We actually have been looking at houses to buy. We have been teaching ud and noi who are progressing well. And we have been teaching our other dater Mickey. He is the biggest baller. He is so faithful and I admire him for that. He loves prayer and the plan of salvation. Hes kinda a more stocky guy but hes super shy and quiet when hes not with people he knows he has a baptismal date for this week but we might have to change it, he has been really good at the commandments and has kept them ever since we gave them to him. Got a new camera last week so I have been taking some pics. Like I said new places everyday. People here speak Thai but there is another dialect that I don't know called esan. Its hard and makes me feel stupid when they speak it. Haha.

Thanks for everything. I have been going really In depth with the Book of Mormon this time through I don't wanna miss a thing. I feel like I've grown so much. My mission has made me less like a three year old. Study the scriptures hard. It will benifit you and give you personal happiness. you will understand god better and in turn yourself.

Weekly Letter to Mission President - 22 Jan 2018: Hey president! Super grateful for the progress I am making. I dont feel old in the mission by all means, I still feel like a greenie everyday but I feel like the whole mission concept in my mind is more normal to me now. Like all the Thai people and all the crazy different stuff from home is starting to be less crazy to me. We're doing well right now in our area. Our daters are progressing and feeling the spirit. We are getting new referrals alot. And visiting LA's has been pretty high on our priority list. I am so grateful for Sukyong he is very patient with me and is always trying to help me. I would not be as good with the language for sure. He takes the time every day to read the scriptures with my for our whole language study. Even though we're very different people I know he was supposed to be my companion. I have my good days and bad days but I am pleased to say that I have had mostly good recently. My love for the scriptures has grown. My love for prayer and study has grown. Personal study is so fun. Thanks for all you do! -Elder English
