Well…Lovin the work

I could give a large day by day list of things that happened this week... But above all we just grinded. We met with a large number of RCs and LAs. It is so nice because we have one member who doesnt have anything going on right now so he comes and finds LAs with us like everyday and helps us in lessons. He is very helpful. Also he speaks fluent English.

Met a new investigator this week, Pretty much the biggest success of us inviting everyday for like three or four hours. Were meeting with him again tommorrow, We met him on the street and he said he had gone to christian churches before. We taught him how to pray from his heart and not from a memorized prayer, and prayed with him and commited him to try praying this way on his own.

We had to go renew visas down in Bangkok for my boy Elder Hodson and also my homies Elder Davis and Mchworter are training also, was super pumped to see them. 7 hour bus rides are super greeeeaattt.

We were at a RCs house this past week and halfway through the awesome plan of salvation slash temple lesson. It starts pouring (we were outside) So we finish the lesson up and given that we were about thirteen kilos out of the city we decided to start biking. It was one of the funnest bike rides ever. Me and Hodson were soaking wet riding through just rice feilds out in the middle of nowhere. Me and Hodson were howling and I was poppin wheelies. Very blessed to be able to serve here.

I want you all to know that in this life there are things worth suffering for, those are the things of eternal worth. IT WILL ALL BE WORTH IT IN THE END! :)

Elder English

Weekly Letter to Mission President  - 20 Aug 2018: Hello President! Hey THis week were doing good. Elder Hodson is doing fantastic. We are trying make everything we do count. We found a new investigator this week who agreed to meet with us on tuesday and so were excited to teach him. Sister nui is doing great, just looking for an answer from god, as in she wants a sign kind of. But she is following all the commandments and just about every commitment we give her so she will get there. We have good investigators. They are all progressing towards basptism at their own pace. We love the work. The members are amazing down here. They have great faith. A lot of them are struggling financially and personally but they still make it to church because they know that eternal rewards are always better. LOVE YA PRESIDENT HAMMOND

*President Hammond: I love ya Elder English, and I'm so grateful for your being such a good trainer and such a good servant of Christ! I'm praying for this investigator, and you might have her study Alma 32 where it talks about signs in v. 17, and then Alma says a person can do their own experiment on the Word, and find through the Spirit that it is true - there is the true sign!
