First week in the MTC

SawatDii Khrap!! Phom Sabaay Dii Maag Khrap! (Hello and I'm doing very good!!!)

I'm so excited to tell you about all the things that have happened to me in the past week! It feels like I got in yesterday! I miss you guys so much! So we got in on wednesday and we went straight to our teacher where he didn't speak a word of English, and he continued to not speak English for the next two days then he would start to throw in little words or translations. I'm not sure how I have done it but the language isn't stressing me out as bad as it should be? I mean I really stink but I know that with the Lords help it will eventually come to me if I keep studying and doing flash cards and trying my best. My companions name is Spencer Greenwood, and he is sitting right next to me, He is from Ogden and hes a great guy. The first night was my first spiritual experience, so I got in and I was just thrown into this fast paced environment, so I was still on my heels, you could say, and you would think I was ready to get into bed because I was so tired. I got into bed and I just had a hard time sleeping that night was just racing and I was in shock a little, but also I soon found out that my companion snores really loud haha and that was kind of hard but I think it was more than just that. I prayed for over an hour and just asked for comfort. I also said to bless my companion too and ended up being able to relax and finally fall asleep. It was really just one of those tender mercies.

There is an amazing spirit here and I have gone for runs played alot of basketball with people WAY better than me, Kan Jam, lifted at the weight room and I love it. I think I have fallen into the routine of it all and have been learning so much. We taught our first investigator twice her name is Geew and I'm starting to sort of pick out some of the things she says. My teachers name is Brother Omer. I miss music a lot and I sing my favorites in my head. We learn language six hours a day, its exciting to actually be learning a new and crazy language. Everyone says my name is very ironic. Elder Ference is in the room right next door to us. I've seen people that I haven't seen since middle school. Its amazing I just have the best feeling all day especially when they give you an hour to go outside and read the scriptures or just pray. Its like being on the temple grounds all the time! There is one triple sister companionship in our district and there are five regular Elder companionships. THEY ARE ALL FANTASTIC! This place is amazing and I'm so excited to spend the next nine weeks here! I miss all my friends from Highland and Holladay and for some of you I will see you in a couple weeks, you will all love the sweet sweet spirit here. Ill send you some pictures, I can just share them with you on google drive and I shared them with MOM.
