Eliza & Jaren Emails

 Eliza : 

Very secretive email that must be read after you watch the video of my mission call opening……….JAR! I’m going to Leeds England! I report to the England MTC on July 3rd…. I hope you get home before that….. I AM SO SO EXCITED!!! England was literally my dream. I will be speaking English (phew) lolol. And Idk if I told you this, but I surprised my parents and my family with my call! They had no idea I was going on a mission. I filled out all of my papers by myself :) it was so complex haha. I just showed up at home with my call in an envelope. It was crazy. Well, I miss you so much and I cannot wait to hear back from you!! Hope everything is going well for you!! LIZE

Jaren:

Oh my goodness you crazy crazy human, I didn't know if you were going... Eliza I get back the 13th... but thats ok you will get so lit there, also my friend from here is going and she will be going into the mtc in may. Thats the coolest thing. Thats sister beam, shes absolutely fantastic shes a second generation convert wich is hard to come by in Thailand. She lives in Chiang rai which is arguably the most beautiful place in Thailand. Her parents are sick. I literaly hope you will be companions

Eliza: 

NOOOOO are you serious?! I thought you’d get back sooner since you left July 5th!!! Jaren I am so sad

Jaren:

noooo danget thats actually saddd, btw why are you still up its like twelve. and I like what you did with the emails so that we couldn't see the preview of the email that was really suspenseful of you

Eliza: Hahaha I meant for the suspense ;) I am literally so sad Jaren I was so excited to see you. It’s actually 1:15 hehehehe. The college life But im actually gonna go to sleep rn. I’m sad I don’t get to see you, but I want you to write me to update me on life! Like where you go to college, who you start dating/marry (hehe) etc etc. ps you owe me a mission update rn (if you have time... I’ll read it In the morning) or next week. You’re awesome!!!!! Jaren:

Uhhhhhhhhhhhhh, im mad, jk not mad freak im mad well idk

So this past year has flown I guess Ill just talk about the highlights, so ive trained twice and both of those kids were actually way sick guys, and I trained the second time in this super swick area that is like the most beautiful place Ive ever been. But honestly I feel like I have grown up. It hurt, but thats how you grow and I have just been growing ever since I got into the MTC. Right now I am still going super hard and working like crazy, but I am now in bangkok and there is just people everywhere so we get to talk to everyone. I am a Zone Leader now but I dont know what Im doing. I freaking miss ya lize

Eliza:

I wish I could see little grown up jaren! Its ok though. My year and a half will fly and we will be roller blading in no time! Where are you going to school? You are AWESOME I MISS YA! Lize

Jaren:

Going to be going to Utah, which is where I was planning on going, but Im super excited. Dang well you will have a really great time on your mission and it will just be so good for your life, its freaking sick. I already requested that I combine all my birthday and christmas this year to be that when I come back I will get a brand new pair of rollerblades. Ay its coming up hows preparing?

Eliza:

Ahhh jar I’m dying. I want to talk to you so bad. I’m getting excited, but I have a lot of weirdness going on right now haha. Do you have time to chat for a sec? (Over email of course :)

Jaren:

Yeah ill give you a call over messenger! Real quick. Haha jk, its so weird going into the weeks before. Why is it weird for you? Like what do you mean by weird

Eliza: 

Ahhh I really do wish I could talk to you. Ok I’m just in a really weiiirdddd boy sitch which is totally what you probs don’t want to talk about, but someone I dated for a year leaves in 2 weeks and chase gets home this Wednesday. Umm yeah. And I don’t know what to do or how to feel and my emotions are all over the place right now. I need you haha. Not to mention that I am trying to get ready for the big change in my life. I just wish I could sit down in a hammock and talk to you. I’m in desperate need of Jaren. I was actually telling Kate la that Yesterday (I was just in lake Powell with her!) Ok well I’m going to bed pretty soon but I know you are probably busy today. If you can respond soon that would be great! If not, I’ll talk to you next week. Ps: Madeline is in Thailand on a humanitarian trip for hefy!

Jaren: 

Ay thats a huge burden haha dang well does chase know you dated that other guy? and coming from someone who has left on a mission, nothing really matters after you go into the mtc haha... thats what your advantage over all of that. Honestly whatever you do, as long as your straight up with them, you dont have to worry about it in a month. Which is no time at all by the way dont even think that much about it and your gone haha. Miss ya and dont stress yourself out too much ya know, you have time to think about it after the mish.

Eliza:

Thanks for the advice Jar. You’re right. None of this will matter pretty soon. I know you are probably getting ready for bed right now, but how are you holding up? I can’t believe you get home in a month!! Time flew. I feel like I’ve grown in so many ways these past two years. I am so excited to go on a mission and just have a change in life. I went through the temple a month ago and loved it so much! I would love to send you a hand written letter, but will it get there in time before you get home? Just let me know. Is there anything I can help you with? Advice you need or just someone to talk to? And do you have any advice for me about things you wish you would’ve known/done before your mission?You’re awesome. Hey how is summer?

Eliza:

Summer is good! I start a jazz and craft camp today for some of my moms little dance students. I go to San Diego/Disney next week with my family, then I’m just about off! How are you?

Jaren:

Wow you are still doing camps?! Jk you love those things, also Im doing good, I'm excited to see everyone in three weeks, its been soooo wild its weird. I'm personally just like extremely grateful is it, I just am so grateful. Missions hurt, but thats just growing painz. Missions blow your mind with happiness, but thats just what happens when you try and make others happy. How are you preparing and how is that all going? Also Byu vocal point came and our invsstigator got a pic with them and we got to watch the show

Eliza:

That’s so cool about BYU vocal point! Where did you say you are going to school again? Madeline (my little sis who’s a year older than Jace) just got back from Thailand. She went for HEFY! She really wants to talk to you about your experience! You should come over some time after you get home and talk to her and then maybe stay to chat on the phone when I call my family! I’d love to just hear from you, even if it were only for a couple minutes, and just get some mission advice and stuff. 

I finished the Bom (not for the first time but another re-read) yesterday and I’ve just been trying to grow my relationship with Heavenly Father! I’m proud of ya and glad your mission has been so meaningful to you!

Jaren: Hey! Yeah for sure! Haha shes wearing the thai traditional skirt at the temple huh? Thats way fun. Hefy sounds way fun up there in the udorn jungle. Your gonna go into the mtc before I write you again, whats your new email? Also you got this. People say that missions arent just sunshine and rainbows but that doesnt mean they arent sometimes. Laugh once in a while ya know, dont take everything so seriously. Just accept humanness and try your best. Haha still slightly ticked that I dont getta see ya... gonna miss ya ชอกดีน่ะ
